In this talk, which preceded the celebration of Commonwealth Day on Monday, 14 March, Justice Kirby reflected on the very important recent developments in the legal systems of the Commonwealth of Nations with the impact upon them of international human rights law, and describe the adoption of the Bangalore Principles on the Domestic Application of International Human Rights Norms (1988).
